Bush administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation last week raided the office and home of the senior official in charge of protecting federal whistleblowers on suspicion of whistleblower retaliation within his own agency -- while he was investigating possible criminal acts within the White House. |

Ethicists Debate Ambulance for Organs

Ethicists and emergency medicine experts are raising concerns over New York City's plan to dispatch the first ambulance service in the country equipped to preserve the organs of the newly deceased. They question whether the organ-preserving ambulances will create tension among EMTs who may be charged both to save lives and to preserve organs for reuse. |

Rape victim pushes for expanded DNA database

Laura Neuman was raped when she was 18 years old. It took nearly 20 years to identify her attacker, even though he'd been arrested six times before her attack and at least six times afterward.lphonso Hill pleaded guilty in September 2002 to raping Neuman and was sent to prison for 15 years. A DNA sample, taken in prison, led to charges in six other rape cases. |

After Rudkowski referenced Operation Ajax and the CIA orchestrated overthrow of Mohammed Mosaddeq in Iran in 1953 via staged terror attacks, he asked Carter if he feared a staged-provocation for war with Iran. Carter responded, “No, I don’t think lately that war is as likely as it was six months ago,” adding, “I hope not.” |
