I often wonder how real these scenarios are though, you would think the powers that be would do anything to prevent a wide scale global nuclear strike considering how bad it would tear the Earth up and undermine their systems of power. Is mututally a**ured destruction. I believe the threat of such an attack and the fear it creates is much more usefull as a mechanism of control than an actual attack itself.
