this is a joke, right? Does anyone here ever read newspapers, or follow politics that go beyond US borders? Why would this man, involved in several scandals, head of a country that has one of the most extended surveillance machineries of all democratic nations in the world, suddenly appear on TED and turn into a wannabe Al Gore with a fashionable "heartwarming" humanistic speech on how we are all so connected and blah blah blah...TED really is becoming more and more dubious.

They still stumble onto some good content, but I'm starting to wonder if that is an artifact of some former purpose.
