Obama's Cheney

By Justin Raimondo | AntiWar.com | Aug. 29, 2008
The office of the Vice President has surely undergone a transformation in recent years: from Dan Quayle to Dick Cheney is a long way to travel. The role of the VP, with Cheney acting as the eminence grise of the Bush regime – and, some would say, the real President – has been amplified to the nth degree, and it looks like the administration of Barack Obama is going to continue this ominous tradition.

Cameras cover all angles on street

By Allison Bruce & Dan Kelley | Rocky Mountain News | Aug. 26, 2008
It's video vs. video when cops and demonstrators clash on the streets of Denver. It seems everybody has a camera recording just about everything that happens at protests during the Democratic National Convention. Assisted by inexpensive technology, there are groups dedicated to watching the protesters and groups dedicated to keeping an eye on the police this week. Some are keeping an eye on both, including We Are Change.

Confrontation in the Commons: A Defense of Alex Jones

By Kurt Nimo | infowars.com | Aug. 29, 2008
It is interesting to witness the response to Alex Jones’ confrontation with Michelle Malkin at the DNC in Denver on August 25. If the comments posted on Infowars are any indication, a large number of people disagree with Alex’s method of confrontation, even find it repulsive. “That was a bit harsh and immature, to say the least. Alex makes himself and the movement against the New World Order look bad by behaving in such a radical manner,” writes one. “Did Kurt Nimmo actually write that she should be arrested? For having an opinion?” adds another.

By Hawk | TruthAlliance.net | Aug. 25th 2008
ReCreate 68 kicked it off Sunday, just one day prior to the official start date of the DNC with a number of speakers including Cynthia Mckinney and Cindy Sheehan at  Civic City Park in front of the capital steps. After marching from civic center park to the Pepsi Center where the convention will convene Monday the protesters started to disperse after being told to turn around by riot police. It seemed like the protest and March may have died out then, but it didn’t stop there and took on a life of its own once the protesters regrouped in front of th Capital building.
