Conservative Republicans Have Only One Choice In 2008
| Let's cut to the chase: conservative Republicans have only one choice for President in 2008: Congressman Ron Paul of Texas. Unlike the GOP frontrunners, Paul is the real deal. No real conservative could support Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, John McCain, Fred Thompson, or Newt Gingrich. When it comes to historic conservative principles, each of these men is as phony as a three dollar bill. That they are now attempting to cast themselves as conservatives is more than laughable: it is downright hilarious.

The Killing of California Almonds (and why dead foods lead to dead people)
| As NewsTarget reported earlier this year, the Almond Board of California (ABC) has decided that all almonds grown in that state must be pasteurized, irradiated or otherwise killed, even when they're labeled "raw." This is necessary, the ABC tells us, for "safety reasons." But who's safety? Certainly not the safety of the consumer, since dead or cooked nuts are far less nutritious than living, raw nuts.

Door Opens to Sweeping Coin Alloy Changes
| Legislation just introduced in Congress as it recessed for its August summer break could be even more sweeping in its scope than the Coinage Act of 1965. Where the compositions of the dime, quarter and half dollar were primarily dealt with in 1965, the new legislation seems to promise to deal with every denomination, cent through dollar coin.
