How much will our wars cost? Report says $4 trillion
| Yahoo News | A new report out of Brown University estimates that the U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq--together with the counterinsurgency efforts in Pakistan--will, all told, cost $4 trillion and leave 225,000 dead, both civilians and soldiers. The group of economists, anthropologists, lawyers, humanitarian personnel, and political scientists involved in the project estimated that the cost of caring for the veterans injured in the wars will reach $1 trillion in 30 or 40 years. In estimating the $4 trillion total, they did not take into account the $5.3 billion in reconstruction spending the government has promised Afghanistan, state and local contributions to veteran care, interest payments on war debt, or the costs of Medicare for veterans when they reach 65. |
| Infowars.com | The final showdown for the TSA groping bill is set to take center stage in the Texas House today, with the Senate version of the bill up for a vote as the special session of the legislature hurtles towards its deadline at midnight tonight. However, despite reports that the wording of the House bill will be identical to Senator Dan Patrick’s SB 29, which while significantly weakened, does offer some token resistance to TSA abuse, Patrick himself wrote on his Facebook last night that the House has refused to accept his bill. Terrorist Mind Reading Technology Throws False Positives
| Truth Alliance.net | Anybody with a rudimentary level of understanding as to how the brain works and functions knows the analysis of brain waves and its activity via electronic software to determine who may or may not be a violent criminal is junk science at best. This doesn't stop the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from spending millions of dollars on a technology that supposedly will stop criminals by scanning their brains for indicators of violence in public spaces. EXCLUSIVE: Rep. Doug Lamborn Gives More Details on Osama Bin Laden Death Photos
| Truth Alliance | In an exclusive interview with Colorado Congressman Doug Lamborn on the death photos of Osama Bin Laden Truth Alliance has learned that one of the photos could very well have been taken from a head mounted camera while standing over the body. A surprising revelation considering the Obama administration first claimed that the head camera footage is how they watched live from their situation room, then later CIA director Leon Panetta mentioned that, no they didn't see the live footage because the video link cut out. Frustrating the narrative and fueling more conspiracies surrounding his death. Read

| AP News | The Wall Street insider trading investigation may lead everyday investors — already rattled by a stock market meltdown, a one-day "flash crash" and the Madoff scandal — to finally conclude that the game is rigged.
